FLU JAB - have you had yours?  If you are eligible, please book now. We have a flu clinic running on Thursday 6 December and other appointments available.  Book on-line or call Reception on 01420 84676.

CERVICAL SMEAR appointments

Smears are booked with our Well Woman-trained nurses, not GPs, so cannot currently be booked using the on-line service - you will need to telephone to make an appointment.  We are delighted to be able to offer these in some of our Improving Access clinics (between 6:30pm and 8pm and on some Saturdays, which we know is helpful.

FLU PROTECTION ~

If you are a flu vaccine regular (over 65 or in one of the priority groups listed below), or if you are pregnant,
please contact the surgery (01420 84676) to book your appointment.
You will find our phone lines less busy in the afternoons.
FLU VACCINE PRIORITY GROUPS

People aged 65 or over and children aged 2 - 5 years,

plus those with:

  •  asthma, diabetes, heart, lung, kidney or liver disease
  •  history of stroke/transient ischaemic attack, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's or Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
  • weak immune system, no spleen/splenic dysfunction, HIV or cancer

and those who are:

  • pregnant
  • taking high doses of steroids or having radio- or chemo- therapy
  • the main carer for an elderly or diabled person who may be at risk if you fall ill
  • health or social care professionals directly involved with patient care
